It is possible to make some money buying and selling domain names. Recently cruises.co.uk sold for £560,000 according to DNJournal.com which is not too bad considering it costs less than £3 to buy a .co.uk domain online.
Whilst it is unlikely that you will be a ble to sell a domain name for as much as this it does show that long after the dot com bubble burst that people are still willing to spend lots of money to buy their perfect domain name.
When buying a domain try to pick a domain name that is short, easy to remember and something that someone will want to buy.
The best way to sell your domain is through auction sites such as Ebay, Sedo and Afternic. If you have a decent domain name and you are not looking for an unrealistic price then it should not take long before a buyer bids for the domain.

Get paid money with Squidoo
If you would like to set up a single webpage and make money from that then Squidoo could be your answer. It is designed to be easy for anyone to set up and it doesn't cost you a penny to set it up. You are allowed to write about anything you want on your Squidoo page such as how to make money.
Squidoo and you can then adorn the page with adverts from which Squidoo will give you 50% of the advertising revenue generated, 45% of the money is kept by Squidoo and the remaining 5% is donated to charity.
Your webpage can cover almost any topic such as making money, Star Wars, your hobbies, people, sports etc. It is free and relatively easy to create a lens about absolutely anything you want whether it be people, places, hobbies, sports or something completely different. After writing your webpage you can earn money by recommending products associated with your topic from Amazon, eBay or CafePress or another of Squidoo’s partners. Squidoo also place Google ads on your lens but again you make money each time someone clicks on one of the ads on your page.
